Good enough for me. This is Keystone Station - it's a bit of a complex at this point, three main buildings and a bit of a stable. This is the newest one, which is mostly housing - small apartments, communal kitchen.

[Time to stop scritching a good girl and straighten up.]

This floor's the doubles, which - oh, Prompto's here, but he's from just about the time Noctis went into the crystal, so you're forewarned.

...Is he alright?

[Ignis had listened carefully until then, perking up slightly at the mention of Prompto regardless of timeline.]

What about Gladio or any of the others? Are they around?

[founderinglight]

Noctis was here, for a time - about the same time period, but he's been gone for a while now. Also another version of you, same time period, also vanished.

[He pauses.]

Right now, it's me, Ardyn, Prompto, and Ravus of all people. The last is still stubborn and stupid and Ardyn has his family to look after him, so I've been keeping an eye on Prompto and making sure he eats real food and so forth. He's... mildly traumatized but alright, mostly. I value his friendship a great deal.

[discutio]

... [He didn't do a great job of concealing disappointment, but recovered quickly with another slight adjustment of his glasses.]

I see. Thank you, for looking out for him. I'll check in with him later, as well as Ravus.

Ravus especially keeps someone keeping an eye out for him, I think. He may be an idiot, but I don't want to see him come to harm.

[ravus is a complicated subject because he's a complicated boy.]

As for Prompto, it's no trouble at all. He's practically family, I'm not very well going to leave him to flounder.

I've a decent idea how to deal with Ravus by now, I think. If nothing else he seemed to tolerate me once upon a time, which is a fair start.

[compared to ravus with most people, that's practically a shining endorsement.]

But I'll still thank you all the same. I do worry about Prompto a little more than I might about Gladio, now and then.

Certainly understandable. I worry about him a great deal myself. He's...

[Izunia pauses, and sighs.]

I fear that because he never got the sort of unconditional support that he should have from his parents, he'll never be entirely secure in his place in the world. I do my best to offer him such now, as much as I can, but he's largely an adult and the damage has been done.

...I'm aware. Even we can only do so much to help him, and I often worry it might simply not be enough.

All we can do is keep trying, no? All the more so when that's difficult.
