Well, that's... interesting. Hopefully, Dist isn't expecting Asch to do the polite thing and let him take the kettle first as host - he picks up the thing by the handle and pours a cup full of steaming water with a bit more elegance than Dist might have seen the last time they happened to both exist in the same room as a teapot. It gives him some cover to consider how to answer.
